Opening Reception: “Hauntings”

Our first exhibition of the new year will be a new body of work from our 2025 CRE Fellow, Kaitlin Santoro.

Hauntings explores memory, loss, grief, and the human condition. The series incorporates interactive elements that cause images to appear and fade, mirroring the instability of memory. Drawing from personal experiences with memory loss and dementia across family lines, the work reflects how presence and absence coexist, and how remembrance is shaped through interaction, repetition, and disappearance. Hauntings reflects on the ways our histories continue to live within us, shaping our relationships and futures even as memory fades.

Please join us to celebrate Kaitlin's work during Crane Arts’ Second Thursday, January 8th from 6pm to 8pm.

Hauntings is on view from January 8th until March 1st.
